Scanner Feed Host

As of late June 2009, all Cape Cod feeds are hosted at the Radio Reference Website. The direct link to the page is http://www.radioreference.com/apps/audio/?ctid=1213. This has taken a serious load off of the bandwidth at my house, as the feeds were previously hosted here. Due to the professional setup at RR each feed is capable of handling a very large amount of listeners which is beneficial during breaking events. Thanks to Lindsay Blanton and Gordon Edwards of Radio Reference for providing this free service for feeds.

Miscellaneous Info and Acknowledgements

Miscellaneous

  • 1. I am not responsible for anything you are hearing on the feed.
  • 2. With these feeds there is a delay of about 15-20 seconds from the time the scanner receives the audio until the time you hear it. This is inevitable due to the processing and transferral of the signal.
  • 3. Remember, you are listening to scanners via these feeds. Unfortunately you don't have control of stopping them for the "hot" calls. No way around that one, sorry!
  • 4. While I will be happy to provide answers (if I have them) to routine questions regarding this service I can not and will not offer much if anything in the way of software support. If you are experiencing problems you will need to do the necessary research to discover and eliminate the problem. Again, when the problem is on my end for whatever reason, I will make every effort to post an explanation on the message board at the website.
  • 5. These feeds are not affiliated with Cape Cod Fire Scanner Audio, which is graciously supplied by Tim Caldwell/N1RIW. Info on that stream may be obtained by going to Tim's website, a.k.a. "Caldwell's Antenna".
