Vermont Rail System is a family of railroads (Vermont Railway, Green Mountain Railway, Washington County Railroad,* Clarendon & Pittsford Railroad, and New York & Ogdensbug Railroad*) in Vermont and New York State that share the same radio system. HQ is in Burlington Vermont, with Dispatch services in Rutland Vermont.
The Washington County Railroad and New York & Ogdensburg Railroad generally contact Rutland dispatch via cell phone, and not the repeater system. They do use the yard switching channels.
Both repeater frequencies are patched together and carry identical traffic from various sites around the state. Repeater inputs are used to link them together.
