They have been monitored in Analog and P25 modes (Both Encrypted and "in the clear")
Channels have been referred to as "CG-##" or "NET-##" with double digits or triple digit channel
designators. It is thought, that this will vary depending on the Radio/Mode of Wideband vs Narrowband
as well as Analog vs P25 Only CG128 is a Repeater (in Boston Only), all others are simplex

- 47 Foot Life Boat (MLB) The 47 Foot Motor Life Boat is the primary response boat for rescues and the like. Most Coast Guard Stations have a 47 Foot Motor Life Boat.
- 25 Foot Defender Class* The Defender class can be armed with machine guns, etc. and can serve in a multi-mission role from Port Security to Search and Rescue, etc.
- Some stations have a 27 Foot Defender Style Boat my guess is that these boats were ordered before the USCG decided to order 700 of the 25 Foot Defender Class Boats.
